Terms of Service
Effective Date: October 17, 2026 • Published by Yamlr Inc
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you (personally or on behalf of an entity, "Customer" or "User") and Yamlr Inc ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), regarding your access to and use of the Yamlr binary releases, the website located at yamlr.dev, the VS Code extension, GitHub Actions, and associated developer tools (collectively, the "Service").
By downloading, installing, compiling, or executing the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with all of these Terms, you are expressly prohibited from using the Service and must immediately cease use.
2. License Grant & Permitted Use
Free Tier (Individual & Community): Subject to these Terms, Yamlr Inc grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and execute the Yamlr CLI binary for scanning and auto-healing Kubernetes configuration manifests on individual developer workstations and community repositories.
Enterprise & Platform Tier: Organizations utilizing Yamlr for fleet-wide multi-repository automation, air-gapped deployments, custom policy ingestion, or multi-tenant platform teams require an active Enterprise License Agreement. Enterprise licenses are granted under specific organizational seat limits or cluster node quotas as defined in an applicable Order Form.
Prohibited Conduct: You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any binary components, except to the extent permitted by applicable law; (b) distribute unauthorized cracked license keys or circumvent cryptographic offline validation mechanisms; (c) use the Service to build a competing Kubernetes configuration resolution product.
3. Local Execution, Privacy & Data Integrity
Zero Manifest Egress: The Service is architected as an offline-capable, local-first engine. Yamlr does not transmit, store, or duplicate your Kubernetes YAML manifests, secrets, configmaps, or proprietary infrastructure topology to external servers. All AST parsing, schema checks, and Concrete Syntax Tree repairs execute locally within your system process memory.
Atomic WAL Reversibility: The Service provides an automated Write-Ahead Log ("WAL") rollback journal stored locally on your filesystem. While Yamlr uses deterministic 3-tier validation algorithms to verify syntax, schemas, and relational bindings, you are ultimately responsible for testing all generated infrastructure changes in non-production environments prior to production rollout.
4. Intellectual Property Rights
All right, title, and interest in and to the Service, including without limitation the proprietary heuristic resolution algorithms, Concrete Syntax Tree repair engines, cryptographic DNA generators, trademarks, documentation, and website assets, remain the exclusive property of Yamlr Inc and its licensors.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
6. Limitation of Liability
7. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and your use of the Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of these Terms shall be instituted in the state or federal courts located in the State of Delaware.
